This is the privacy policy for mauricebell.com, the website of author Maurice Bell. The short version: this is a static publication site. It has no accounts, no comment forms, no newsletter yet, and it runs no analytics or tracking scripts. The one exception is the topic-request form described below — here is the full picture.

What this site collects

The site itself does not set cookies, does not run analytics or advertising scripts, and does not fingerprint browsers. The one form on the site is the topic-request form (see below); nothing else asks for your name, email address, or anything else. If that ever changes, this policy will change first.

Topic-request form

The "Request a Topic" form on the homepage submits directly to Web3Forms, a third-party form-delivery service, which emails the submission to Maurice. The form asks for an email address and a topic (required), and a name and further details (optional). Web3Forms processes that submission under its own privacy policy; this site does not store, log, or otherwise retain what you submit. Submissions are used only to read and, where it leads somewhere, act on your request.

Server logs

Like nearly every website, the hosting provider that serves these pages keeps standard web server logs: the IP address a request came from, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. Those logs are used only for security and keeping the site running, and are retained according to the hosting provider's own schedule. They are not used to identify or profile readers.

Clicking such a link takes you to Amazon, where Amazon's own privacy policy and cookies apply — Amazon may use cookies to attribute a purchase to that click.
